Sephardic Hebrew Center

The Sephardic Hebrew Center is one of three synagogues in Havana. It is the main remaining Sephardic heritage institution in Cuba. Its creation began in 1954 and it was finally founded in 1959. Originally, it had a temple with a capacity of 700 congregants. Later, the temple that was active until approximately 2020 was much smaller, with a capacity of about 100 people. Currently, it houses the Senior Citizen Care Program of the Cuban Jewish Community and is home to the only Holocaust Memorial in Cuba.
